About US

About 15 years ago, I came home from the grocery store with a couple of cans of corn. As I started shuffling my current cans, I saw we had multiple cans of corn in the back of the pantry. I do not like to overbuy. Irritated, I tried to think of a way that I could access and see all of my cans. I noticed an empty space between my shelves and my door jamb in the pantry.

I wondered if I could fit a tube that could hold the cans in this empty space. I went to my local home improvement store with a can of corn in my hand and bought a piece of ABS conduit that fit the can. I pulled out my table saw and cut it in half (I actually got very lucky and cut it perfectly for the can to pop in and hold on the first try). I mounted it on the wall and proceeded to put all of our canned goods in.

Over the course of 15 years, I would sometimes think about whether it was something I could make and sell. I did not know anything about manufacturing, so I just kept ignoring it. Also, time was scarce as we were raising our 3 daughters, who were all very busy. All the time.

As the kids got older and time started to become more available, this can holder started to really stare me down every time I opened the pantry. My dad, who had passed away a while back, loved to tinker around, build, and create. His voice was also in my head. Colleen, my wife, was also very, very encouraging in motivating me to look into starting this project.

I started to research the processes. It seemed like a lot of work, but fairly straightforward (it was not straightforward). I like a challenge. A challenge it was. LOL! To say I learned so much is an understatement. I learned a lot about myself. Thank goodness I had Colleen with me on this journey. No way I could have done this without her. We spent a lot of nights and weekends researching, learning, building, and making easy and tough decisions. It has been a process.

We also found great companies to help with our journey—from design and manufacturing to marketing, shipping, patents, and more.

This is the product we are excited (and nervous) to bring to people who want a solution (like I did) that can free up shelf space and make it easy to see your inventory of canned goods.

We hope you love it (or at least like it a lot)!
